HER STORY

A life rooted in faith, family, and community

Dr. Tisdale's story is one of faith, service, and an enduring commitment to people.

Raised in a family of pastors and active in church from childhood, Dr. Tisdale has carried that foundation through decades of ministry leadership, teaching, evangelism, chaplaincy, bereavement support, church administration, and community outreach.

Her public-service career spans more than 40 years across mental-health and criminal-justice settings, including hospitals and treatment programs, recovery and correctional environments, advocacy, liaison, and support roles. Those experiences continue to inform the patience, care, and respect she brings to her work.

Dr. Tisdale founded Sacred Hearts Ministry in 2008 and opened Helping Hands Counseling Services in 2022. In 2024, she retired from State of California mental-health work and earned a Ph.D. in Christian Counseling. Today, Vows & Guidance brings together two distinct services shaped by the same helping heart.
